Shimane sake is a reflection of proud traditions passed on from generation to generation. During the Warring States Period (1396-1566), the best sake of each year was presented to the Lord of the Toda Castle. This sake was known as ‘Gassan’. Aiming to produce only the best quality sake, the quality they would be proud to present to a Lord, Yoshida Sake Brewery has named their sake ‘Gassan’.
