Mourvèdre is grown in many regions around the world including the Rhône and Provence regions of France; Valencia, Jumilla, and Yecla regions of Spain; the Balearic Islands; California and Washington State; Australia’s South Australia, and New South Wales; South Africa. It’s one region why this transportable red grape goes by many synonyms (Monastrell and Mataro amongst them).
