The Fantini Group was born in the small town of Ortona, Abruzzo, in the heart of the Mediterranean. Founded in 1994, by three partners Filippo, Valentino, and Camillo, also called “the three dreamers” because they were able to make dreams that seemed impossible come true. Thus, they have created the wine flagship of Southern Italy without having much money or vineyards but, instead, through a highly innovative business model.
Fantini has holding in several Italian regions, including Abruzzo, Tuscany, Campania, Basilicata, Apulia, and Sicily. An award-winner producer, Fantini pays meticulous attention to every single detail, starting from the vineyards. To begin with, the grapes are carefully selected and the processing carried out by a team of 21 young winemakers with great international experience, that enables Fantini to produce wines of great value that are appreciated all over the world.
Their work is a mix of old and new: they partner with small family farms that have been in the area for generations, to whom Fantini bring world-class consultants to help them grow higher-quality grapes. In addition, Fantini also takes long-term contracts with the families so they can be sure that they will be paid a fair price after the harvest.
When crafting the wines, Fantini employs the most advanced wine-making technology available to ensure that the wines reflect the authentic characteristics of the grapes used. Fantini believes that the hard work in the vineyards is pointless if the winery is unable to maintain strict standards when bottling.
